Every1Access

  • Fowler Unified Every1Access Program

Welcome to Fowler Unified School District’s Every1Access program. The Every1Access program is designed to provide access to the necessary technological tools students need to be successful – both at school and at home.  Fowler Unified School District recognizes that using technology is essential for students to survive and compete in a rapidly changing business world and society that is more and more information-based and interconnected. Students are more engaged when lessons and activities are infused with technology. Educational technology allows for more student- driven, individualized curriculum and instruction that challenges students to work at a higher level of rigor and complexity. Fowler Unified School District is committed to seeing that our students and teachers have the optimal tools to improve academic achievement.

    Every1Access Personal Devices

The overall goal in the Every1Access program is to ensure all students in Fowler Unified School District have the appropriate technology available to them daily. In Kindergarten through 2nd grade classrooms, devices are available as needed, with an emphasis on touch-screen interaction, and foundational technology skills – activating a device, opening a web page, creating and saving a document, etc.  Classrooms in grades K-2 have between 10-20 touchscreen laptops available to students, with more available for teachers if needed.

The primary focus of the Every1Access program in grades 3-12, is to provide students with full-time, daily access to a Chromebook laptop device and a personalized Google Drive account, making 21st century technology a part of their regular learning process.

In FUSD’s Every1Access Program, students receive:

    ·  Grades 1-5:      A Chromebook laptop device for student use in the classroom (part of 1-to-1 device-to- student plan) – that can be checked out for home use when needed

    ·  Grades 6-12:    A Chromebook device (part of 1-to-1 device-to-student plan) for 24-hour access to curriculum and programs

    ·  Grades K-12:   A Google Drive account- which includes free, unlimited, cloud storage, and essential office programs (Word processing, Spreadsheets, presentations, e-mail etc.) and other free educational apps (WeVideo, GeoGebra…)

    Philosophy of Every1Access

The goal in Fowler Unified is to provide students with the necessary tools and skills to acquire and understand information and become technologically literate. It is essential for all students to have access to learning at its highest level, and have equal opportunities to interact and engage in a technology and information rich world. Fowler Unified offers that opportunity to all students through the Every1Access program.
