Marshall Elementary School, located in Fowler, California, is a neighborhood school which serves approximately 450 students in grades Transitional Kindergarten through Second Grade.
Administration and staff set high standards for academics and behavior, and hold all students accountable. State and local standards drive the curriculum at each grade level. Teachers are providing instruction aligned to the Common Core State Standards and routinely assess student progress towards meeting these standards.
It is important to remember that the well-being of our students is directly related to their overall success. While our school places an emphasis on higher learning standards, we also work to meet the emotional and social needs of our students. We continue to develop students’ character through our district character education program, Fowler Big 10. Marshall Elementary School has adopted Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) as a common approach to discipline. PBIS uses a positive approach to teach our school expectations to our students. All staff teach, model, practice, and reward our students for using appropriate behavior.
Communication is a key component to your child’s academic success. The partnership of parent, teacher, and student is critical in fostering progress and growth for our students. We hope that your child continues to experience a year of growth academically, socially, and emotionally. Marshall Elementary School staff is always available to answer your questions or concerns.
