My name is Kristen Chaney and I am a 6th grade ELA teacher at Sutter Middle School this year. My second in the district and fifth year teaching overall, I have come to really enjoy giving back to my hometown community as a teacher. I am a nerd for English and love the craft of teaching and being able to foster a positive and encouraging environment to stimulate growth and learning and change in my students. Pushing for empathy and respect always, I also learn from my students when thinking and planning for each day. Love what I do and look forward to where this year will lead my students and I!
