Welcome to Employee Payroll & Benefits

Fowler Unified School District offers a comprehensive health and welfare package to all employees who work more than 30 hours per week in a contracted position. This coverage is effective on the first of the month following the employee’s first contracted day. 

The District contributes up to a total annual contribution of $18,771.00 for the 2022/2023 fiscal year to each qualified classified and certificated eligible employee’s health and welfare package. 

Medical Insurance is provided through California’s Valued Trust (CVT) – two (2) Anthem BlueCross PPO plans and one (1) Kaiser Permanente HMO plan to choose from, which also includes prescription drug coverage and an employee assistance program.  Also included is the Delta Dental PPO plan and vision care through Vision Service Plan (VSP).  The voluntary section 125 plan is available for medical, dental, vision and child care reimbursement through American Fidelity.
