Character Education / Service Learning

Service learning is a powerful opportunity for students to engage with their community, apply academic knowledge to real-world problems, and develop key skills that extend far beyond the classroom. In our school district, we believe that service learning fosters not only personal growth but also aligns with the values that guide our educational mission.

As you plan and carry out your service learning project, we encourage you to reflect on how your work connects to one or more of our district's core values: lifelong learning, collaboration, community, diversity, equity, inclusion, positive relationships, leadership, and accountability. Whether you are leading a community outreach project, advocating for inclusivity, or working to support local organizations, consider how your actions embody these values and contribute to our district’s vision for a better world.

At the end of your project, take a moment to highlight which value resonates most with your experience, and how it influenced your approach and outcomes. Your insight will not only help shape your personal journey but also inspire others in our school community.
